Outdoor Rental Center
Closure Announcement:
The Outdoor Rental Center is closed due to demolition and construction of a new tennis
facility. The Outdoor Rental Center will re-open upon completion of this project,
estimated for Fall 2013. While the Outdoor Rental Center is closed, only large rentals
with a minimum of 6 canoes can be made by advance reservation by calling 785-532-6980. Recreational Services looks forward to serving the K-State community from a new facility
next year.
The Outdoor Rental Center provides a large inventory of outdoor equipment. This equipment may be rented by the K-State community and is available for reservation.
Upon completion, the new Outdoor Rental Center will be located near the Chester E. Peters Recreation Complex.
Eligibility
Equipment is available to K-State students who are enrolled in the current or previous
semester, K-State faculty/staff, and facility members. A valid K-State student ID,
faculty/staff ID, or current membership key tag must be presented when equipment is
checked out.
Equipment may be reserved in person in advance by paying the full rental fee plus a $5 non-refundable reservation fee. Equipment not picked up on the reserved day will be checked out first come, first served the following day.
Cancellations and refunds
A cancellation fee will be charged equal to one-half the rental rate of the equipment
if cancellation is less than 2 days prior to pickup time. The full reservation fee
will be forfeited if equipment is not picked up on the day of reservation.
No refunds for under $15 will be made on any fee charged by Recreational Services.
Damages and late fees
All equipment must be returned clean, and tents must be returned dry. Equipment returned
dirty or wet will be assessed a cleaning fee. See cleaning/repairing fees listed below.
Other charges may apply if equipment is damaged or lost. Equipment returned late will
be charged the daily rate.
