The Outdoor Rental Center provides a large inventory of outdoor equipment. This equipment may be rented by the K-State community and is available for reservation. We encourage you to call us at 785-313-4187 when making plans for your next outing!
The Outdoor Rental Center is located near the Chester E. Peters Recreation Complex. The driveway is west of the tennis courts and the entrance is between the outdoor handball courts and the tennis courts.
Meet our student staff
Eligibility
Equipment is available to K-State students who are enrolled in the current or previous semester, K-State faculty/staff, and facility members. A valid K-State student ID, faculty/staff ID, or current membership key tag must be presented when equipment is checked out.
Hours of operation beginning March 12
Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday, 4-6 p.m.
Saturday, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Closed every Tuesday and Wednesday
When the Outdoor Rental Center is closed, special arrangements for rentals can be made by calling the administrative office at 785-532-6980. Forty-eight hour notice required.
Reservations
Equipment may be reserved in person in advance by paying the full rental fee plus a $5 non-refundable reservation fee. Equipment not picked up on the reserved day will be checked out first come, first served the following day.
Cancellations and refunds
A cancellation fee will be charged equal to one-half the rental rate of the equipment if cancellation is less than 48 hours prior to pickup time. The full reservation fee will be forfeited if equipment is not picked up on the day of reservation.
No refunds for under $15 will be made on any fee charged by Recreational Services.
Damages and late fees
All equipment must be returned clean, and tents must be returned dry. Equipment returned dirty or wet will be assessed a $7.50 cleaning fee. Other charges may apply if equipment is damaged or lost. Equipment returned late will be charged the daily rate.
