Mission
The mission of Fitness Services is to provide the K-State campus community with health and fitness programming that promotes physical activity, healthy nutrition, and overall wellness. Services available to K-State students and facility card holders include group fitness sessions, individual personal training and nutrition consultations, and educational outreach presentations/workshops.
All students and facility members have the option to use Recreational Services' facilities on their own or as part of an organized program. Personal trainers provide one-on-one exercise and nutrition planning, while Wildcat Workouts offer a wide variety of both land and water group fitness classes. First aid care and injury evaluation services are also available through the Athletic Training Services/Sports Medicine Program.

- Women on Weights, Sep 20, 1-3 p.m. Join the Wildcat Personal Trainers for a FREE 2-hour workshop at the Rec Complex to learn tips on introductory lifting techniques and health benefits of adding weight lifting to your workout routine. Next workshop will be October 25.
- Gentlemen & Ability, Sep 20, 3-5 p.m. Do you want to energize your workout? Attend this FREE 2-hour workshop at the Rec Complex to learn specific exercises that will enhance performance and boost your fitness satisfaction. These free workshops are a great way to advance total body strength, endurance, and flexibility. Next workshop will be Oct 25.
- Extreme Fitness, Oct 10, 3-4:30 p.m. This free workshop targets those looking for a full body workout challenge! Be aware this is not a beginner's program! Interested participants are encouraged to be in healthy condition and capable of doing high intensity movements. Come prepared to work with our qualified personal trainers for a workout experience you'll never forget!
- Kat Kravings, beginning Oct 21, this 4-week program involes both nutrition and fitness. Fitness Factor: Participants will be matched to a personal trainer who will meet with them and perform an initial and final fitness assessment. They will then provide fitness education and a written workout plan for the next 4 weeks. The trainer will meet once a week for a 1-hour training session, totaling 6 face-to-face meetings. Nutrition Factor: Participants will also fill out a 3-day food record and other paperwork for a nutritional assessment. A nutrition consultant will analyze food intake and will recommend calorie intake and meal plan for each individual.The Kat Kraving Support Group will meet Wednesdays from 5:45-6:30 p.m. for additional nutrition education and support. Limited to 50, participants must be K-State students ($40) or Rec members ($60). Sign up in the administrative office at the Rec Complex.
Special fitness and nutrition events are for K-State students and Rec members. Sign up in the administrative office, open Mon-Thurs, 8 a.m.-6 p.m., and Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
