interested in becoming a wildcat personal trainer?

An in-house personal training proficiency course is administered every fall semester to those interested in personal training for Rec Services. This course may also be taken for informational purposes.

This 10-hour course is designed to teach basic knowledge and skills necessary for successful personal training. It also aids in preparation for certification by an accredited organization. Only K-State students (enrolled in a minimum of 6 hours) who can commit to at least one year of employment will be hired as Wildcat Trainers upon completion of this course. Kinesiology  or NUEX majors are preferred but not required.

Personal trainers generally work from 6-20 hours per week, depending on client load. Starting pay: $7.15/hour for noncertified personal trainers; $8.65/hour for certified personal trainers.
