Natatorium
Hello! My name is Thomas Deus, assistant director, facilities.
The pool is operating as usual. Just a reminder to please bring your ID/key tag every time you visit the pool. Any new or renewing memberships should visit the main office at the Chester E. Peters Recreation Complex.
A note to all regarding weather! If you see lightening, we have to shut down our pools for 30 minutes. You can call Rec Check at 785-532-6000 for updates on whether the pool is open or closed.
The natatorium is located adjacent to the Ahearn Field House. This facility is handicapped accessible and includes two swimming pools that are 25 yards in length with pacer clocks, a diving well with 3-meter and 1-meter spring boards, and a sunning deck.
Normal fall semester hours are:
Monday/Wednesday/Friday
6am – 7:30am
11:30am – 2:30pm
7:30pm – 10pm
Tuesday/Thursday
6am – 7:30am
11:30am – 2:30pm
5pm – 6pm
7:30pm – 10pm
Saturday/Sunday
1pm – 5pm
7pm – 10pm
There are two home football games in the month of November -- Kansas on Nov 7 and Missouri on Nov 14. So expect closings on those two dates. Please note that home football game days usually mean adjusted facility hours. Be sure to check the web page or call Rec Check to make sure we are open before you head over here on game days.

Weather Closures
