K-State Challenge Course

Great first full year!

The K-State Challenge Course has completed its first full year with Rec Services, and it has been a very successful year. Participant numbers increased by over 150% compared to the previous year. The course and program is still fairly young and new to K-State, so we hope to see continued growth with the program over the course of the next year. Thanks to everyone who has come out and enjoyed the benefits of the course!

Cold weather doesn't mean we're closed yet!

While the changing of the season means many people like to stay inside more than before, it doesn't mean we've closed the course just yet. We will remain open and available for booking at the course up through Thanksgiving. There are still many great days of weather left this fall, and what better way to enjoy a nice fall day than spending it outdoors on our course!

Even when we close, we're still not closed!

Beginning this winter, we will offer 2-hour indoor teambuilding sessions inside the Rec Complex. Our trained facilitator staff can take your group through initiatives and low course activities inside the Rec through the use of props and low elements that we can bring indoors. Pricing info will be on our website very soon.

Schedule your group today!

The Challenge Course is set up to help groups or teams learn, grow, and get to know each other better as they work through a series of challenges and initiatives. Teambuilding, trust, and better communication are just a few of the many benefits your group can gain from participating in one of our courses.

The course consists of icebreakers, group initiatives, and low and high elements. The low elements consist of ropes, wires, poles, and other wooden objects, while the high elements are the same, but 30-50 feet in the air! The high elements make use of ropes and belaying systems that our trained facilitators can take you through.
