Wildcat Workouts
Wildcat Workouts group fitness is a fun and social way to exercise. Let a certified fitness instructor motivate and lead you through a workout to increase cardiovascular endurance and muscle tone.
A variety of group fitness sessions are offered free to K-State students and facility card members.
Indoor cycling is a fee-based session. Space is limited to 14 people and there is a small fee.
Wildcat group fitness instructors have completed a semester-long, in-house training or hold a nationally recognized group fitness certification.
* Only K-State students and Rec Services members age 18 and older are eligible to use the services of K-State fitness services.

Session Description
Strength and Cardio
3,2,1: A structured interval workout used by celebrity personal trainers to keep celebs looking fantastic. Intervals consist of 3 minutes of cardio, 2 minutes of strength training, and 1 minute of core work. (All levels)
Advanced Step: A fast-paced class with advanced step choreography. Prior experience in step aerobics is highly recommended. (Advanced)
Armz n' Abz: Just like it sounds! Come prepared to make your arms and abs ask for more! (All levels)
BOSU: An integrative workout utilizing BOSU balance trainers. Workout consists of cardiovascular training, strength training, agility, and balance. BOS is a very functional way of training, providing a total body workout with a special emphasis on core training. Limited number of participants. Reserve a session at the service desk by calling 785-532-6950.
Butz & Gutz: Just like it sounds! Come prepared to make your booty burn and your abs ask for more! (All levels)
Cardio Craze: Traditional hi/lo is back to lift your heart rate and your mood! Step touch, grapevine, shuffle, and much more! Moderately challenging choreography will be utilized. (All levels, high intensity)
Jump Start: A fun, yet less rigorous aerobics class with lots of variety and functional exercises. For those who want to improve cardiovascular endurance, strengthen joints, increase flexibility, and tone muscles. (Low impact)
Kardio Kickbox: A high-intensity aerobic workout based on martial arts. Involves challenging kickbox combinations of punches, kicks and intense training moves. (High intensity)
Kickbox Kombat: An exciting mix of traditional martial arts and cardio kickbox movements paired with agility training and boot camp drills. Kick paddles will be utilized to enhance strength and serve as a target for punches and kicks. (All levels, high intensity)
Rep Revolution: Strength training and sculpting in its simplest format. Loaded bars and hand weights will be utilized to work all the major muscle groups, burn maximum calories, and create strong, toned muscles. Class is structured so that each song or 3-4 minute period focuses on one specific muscle group. (All levels)
Rep Recycle: A new spin on Rep Revolution! Loaded bars and hand weights will still be utilized to work all the major muscle groups, burn maximum calories, and create strong, toned muscles. The difference? The class is structured in a cyclic format so you move from working one muscle group right to the next and the next with little to no rest in between. This constant movement doubles the caloric burn! Cyclic pattern of exercises is repeated for the duration of the class. (All levels)
Step: Enjoy a heart-pumping cardio workout stepping up and down a platform. Choreographed. (All levels)
Turbo Kick: An intense interval class with a sport specific warm-up followed by intensity intervals consisting of kickboxing drills and intense interval segments and working recovery. Certified Turbo Kick instruction. (All levels, high intensity)
Xtreme Abz: An intense 20-minute workout to strengthen and tone the core muscles. (All levels)
Mind/Body
Mat Pilates: A series of mat work exercises focusing on the power-house (stomach, hips, lower back and buttocks). Breathing coordinates movements for a total body workout to strengthen and tone muscles, improve posture, provide flexibility & balance, unite body & mind, and improve circulation. (All levels)
Pilates Strength Fusion: A mixture of traditional mat pilates and body weight strength training. Pilates balls and resistance bands will be used to enhance awareness of one's strength and body alignment. (All levels)
Tai Chi: An ancient Chinese art/discipline combining slow, gentle, fluid movement of the entire body with specific breathing techniques to achieve a calm, focused, and centered state of mind. In Chinese, "Tai Chi" means supreme energy: Tai = supreme and Chi = energy.
Yoga I: If you have never tried yoga before and/or would like to polish your current practice, this class is for you! Class designed to improve posture, flexibility, and muscular strength. Basic yoga poses to commence and/or further your mind/body experience. YogaFit theories and practices will be utilized. (Beginner/All levels)
Yoga II: Intermediate yoga poses to challenge and take your mind/body practice to new heights! YogaFit theories and practices will be utilized. Knowledge and prior experience in yoga highly recommended. (Intermediate/Advanced)
Yoga 4 All: A blend of Hatha Yoga styles designed to imiprove posture, flexibility, and muscular strength. Because this is a multi-level class, please exercise caution when attempting more challenging poses. Participants are highly encouraged to listen to their own bodies and be aware of their own strengths and weaknesses in regard to poses attempted. Pay close attention to what the instructor advises for each pose. (All levels)
Aquatic Fitness
Aqua Fitness: A great workout with water resistance while decreasing the impact on all joints and the spine. (All levels)
Aqua Circuit: Aqua exercise set to intervals or circuits of 4 minutes; alternating cardio and strength work in the non-impact environment of the pool.
Deep Water Workout: Combines water buoyancy and resistance for zero impact. (All levels, high intensity)
Indoor Cycling (Fee-based)
Purchase punch passes in the office. Reserve a session at the service desk by calling 532-6950.
Spintacular Ride: A full hour of putting the pedal to the metal spinning. (All levels)
Spinn' Strength: A 40-minute ride followed by 20 minutes of upper body and core strength training to create muscular balance between upper and lower body. (All levels)
