Nutritional consultations are available by appointment to analyze your current dietary habits, create goals, and help you make plans to achieve a healthy diet, weight loss, or gain. Nutrition consultants are trained dietetics, public health nutrition, or NUEX students. Nutrition consultations include a detailed print analysis of your dietary intake in terms of nutrients and portions. The consultation will be tailored to fit the needs of each client.

Brittany Year in school: Senior Major: Dietetics and public health nutrition w/minor in kinesiology and Spanish Certifications: CPR/AED, BBP, first aid, ACE certified personal trainer, AFAA group fitness instructor, Zumba, Arthritis Foundation aqua group fitness leader Favorite foods: cheese, fruit and chocolate Special nutrition interests: I have many interests including childhood nutrition and weight loss, as well as an overall interest in creating a good relationship with food and promoting a healthy lifestyle including good nutrition. Favorite restaurant: I love Italian cuisine (pasta and cheese), so I would say Olive Garden is one of my favorites for sure! Nutrition philosophy: My nutrition philosophy is creating a good relationship with the food we use to fuel our body and creating an overall healthy lifestyle, including good nutrition, respect for food, and moderation. Favorite activities: Spending time with my family, including my 5-year old son and 13-month old daughter! I also enjoy spending time with my Rec family, athletic activities, movies, music and relaxing. |

All of this dedication and diligence should also carry over into eating habits. Looking good and feeling good is a combination of eating right and exercising regularly. |

Kaitlin Year in school: Senior Major: Dietetics, Economics Certifications: ServSafe Special nutrition interests: weight loss, eating disorders, sports nutrition (especially for endurance athletes) Favorite foods: blueberries and peanut butter...not at the same time! Nutrition philosophy: I believe that since no two people are the same, no single diet plan will work for everyone. I do not believe in "good" or "bad" foods. Anything can be incorporated into a diet in moderation and with self-control. I believe that exercise is just as critical as nutrition in living a healthy lifestyle and that a good exercise program can do amazing things for the body physically, mentally and emotionally. Favorite activities/interests: I love to run and love training/running races. I have just started training for the LA Marathon early next year. I also love diving and gymnastics and did both until the end of high school. I enjoy being outdoors (camping, shooting, hiking). It is one of my many life aspirations to travel the world as much as possible. |
