Equipment Checkout

Daily Use

Equipment is available at the service area for daily checkout to current students with their valid ID card or to facility use members with a current membership. The following items are available for same day use only:

  • Badminton racquets and shuttles
  • Basketballs
  • Eyeguards
  • Handballs
  • Heavy Hands
  • Lap counters
  • Jump Ropes
  • Racquetball racquets and balls
  • Pickleball paddles and balls
  • Table tennis paddles and balls
  • Squash racquets and balls
  • Weight Training belts
  • Volleyballs
  • Wallyball equipment

Overnight Use

Equipment is also available for checkout on an overnight basis to current K-State students with their valid ID card or to facility use members with a current membership. Equipment may be reserved up to 2 weeks in advance with a $5.00 non-refundable reservation fee made in person at the service area. There is a 3-day maximum (72 hours) and a fee is assessed if the equipment is returned late. Equipment available for same day use or overnight checkout includes:

  • Archery targets
  • Basketballs
  • Croquet sets
  • Football flags and balls
  • Frisbees
  • Horseshoes
  • Soccer balls
  • Tennis raquets and balls
  • Volleyball sets
  • Softball bats, balls, bases and gloves

Special Equipment

Additional equipment available for rental by approved groups. Special equipment will have additional charges.

  • Race clock & timer
  • Wristwrestling table
  • Portable PA system Orange cones
  • Orange safety vests
  • Megaphones
  • Stopwatches
  • Scoreboards

This is a partial listing. Call the Recreational Services office at (785) 532-6980 for reservations, questions and availability of other equipment.

Special equipment fees under $15 must be paid for when equipment is checked out. Individuals should inspect equipment upon checkout. A fee will be assessed for equipment returned damaged, broken, or with missing parts.

Late Fees on Daily and Overnight Checkout Equipment

Late fee on equipment "sets" (softball, volleyball, horseshoes, croquet, etc.) is $5.00/first day and $1.00/day thereafter. Late fee on individual pieces of checkout equipment is $1.00 per item/first day and $.50 per item/day thereafter. Late fees not paid within 3 business days of return of equipment will be invoiced and a $15.00 service charge will be added. All prices are subject to sales tax.
